From November 16 to 18 Gaudi’s Casa Milà will host the 19th edition of the LOOP Fair.
For this new edition, LOOP Fair adapts its format to offer yet another physical experience and an exceptional meeting point for the ever growing moving image community.
The iconic modernist building by Antoni Gaudí – “Casa Milà” – will provide the ideal venue to set up a dynamic display of the latest contributions to moving image creation.
Maintaining the Fair’s intimate atmosphere and familiar spirit, the selection will feature the participation of 27 international galleries and artists selected by an international committee, chaired by Jean-Conrad Lemaître and composed by: Isabelle Lemaître; Haro Cumbusyan; Josée and Marc Gensollen; Renée Drake.
With an exhibition-like format, from installations to single channel screenings, the Fair will showcase multiple works, testifying to the ductility of video as a creative and critical tool.
Developing a hybrid format the fair will also be accessible online. From November 16 to 26, all the videos will simultaneously be available for streaming on a newly designed virtual platform conceived by Hyperstudio (Madrid), offering a more immersive experience.
This year’s edition will be completed by a special section presenting a series of works exploring the boundaries between video and performance, curated by Rose Lejeune, that will echo the theme of the “body” developed in the LOOP Festival’s programme.
