Location
Barcelona

For 10 days in November, Loop curates a Festival dedicated to artist’s films, spread out across the cultural and artistic venues of Barcelona. With a different artistic direction each edition, Loop Festival commissions and organizes exhibitions, talks, performances, and live shows, bringing the experiences of international artists working with the cinematic medium to the city’s most important artistic centers.

Every year, Loop Festival collaborates with institutions such as MACBA, CaixaForum, Fundació Joan Miró, Hangar, Fundació Eina, Fundació Tàpies, Arts Santa Mónica, Museu Picasso, CCCB, and expands its network, showcasing the work of artists such as Aura Satz, Harun Farocki, John Menick, Metahaven, João Pedro Rodrigues, and many others. Its goal is to represent the current landscape of artist film through the voices of the artists who are shaping the history of the relationship between film and contemporary art.
