Over ten days, the LOOP Festival offers a program that includes exhibitions, screenings, and various activities in museum institutions and other city spaces.
LOOP Festival is a collaborative initiative both at the city level and within the industry, functioning as a platform to foster an artistic community through collaborations and co-production projects. It features a main curated section and, simultaneously, City Screen, a program that takes place in art galleries and independent spaces, involving artists, organizations, and professionals from both the local and international scenes.
A key highlight of the program will be the presentation of the 2024 Video Creation Award, featuring the premiere of Núria Güell’s new video work Morir de amor at Fabra i Coats. This co-production project, now in its 10th edition, is the result of ongoing collaboration between the Territorial Centers of the Public System of Visual Arts Equipment of Catalonia, the Centre d’Arts Santa Mònica, the Department of Culture of the Generalitat of Catalonia, and Loop Barcelona. The award aims to collectively support an artist, co-produce a work, and showcase it in their exhibition spaces.
The programming for this edition has been developed in collaboration with the following entities: Institut del Teatre, CCCB, Casa Elizalde, Casa Seat, Fabra i Coats, L’Alternativa, Museu de la Música, Museu Tàpies, MACBA, Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona, Zumzeig, among others.
+ The complete program of Loop Festival 2024 will be revealed soon.
