AKINCI focuses significantly on new developments in contemporary art and is explicitly engaged with artists who incorporate socio-political, ecological, and gender-related issues into their work. The program is characterized by a diversity of media and cross-disciplinary approaches, encompassing sound, architecture, painting, sculpture, film, and installation. Since 1988, AKINCI has aimed to be both a career-building platform and a solid foundation for the artists we represent. The gallery has evolved alongside the artists who joined the project in the founding years and continues to foster growth with younger generations.
