Christopher Grimes Gallery

Founded in 1979, Christopher Grimes Gallery presents a diverse yet rigorous program of contemporary art in a variety of media including painting, photography, installation, sculpture and video. The gallery has curated ambitious projects such as Amnesia: Contemporary Art from South America, 1998, which travelled to the Contemporary Art Center in Cincinnati, OH and the Bronx Museum, New York, NY; and Super 8, an exhibition featuring the works of forty international contemporary artists, which opened in 2013 at MAM Rio. The gallery actively works with emerging and established artists such as Kota Ezawa, Iñigo Manglano-Ovalle, Julião Sarmento and Allan Sekula. Additionally, the gallery represents Kevin Appel, Antonio Ballester Moreno, Waltercio Caldas, Sharon Ellis, Gianfranco Foschino, Veronika Kellndorfer, Lucia Koch, João Louro, Dane Mitchell, Olivier Mosset, Ester Partegás, Glen Rubsamen, Miguel Rio Branco, Scott Short and Ulrich Wüst.
