“The individual, their identity and their place in society are at the core of Jérémie Danon’s work. Using photography, video and painting, the artist chronicles time spent and moments shared with singular individuals. Together they wonder how to state themselves to the world. By summing up his observations and questions, his projects present very directly the words and stories he mediates. The resulting forms are not simply documentation, but the transposition, even sublimation, of a shared experience.” Mathilda Portoghese
