Ani Molnár Gallery

Ani Molnar Gallery, established in 2009, developed a high international profile and is amongst the most active galleries in Budapest. Its focus is placed particularly on the international representation of Hungarian and Eastern European artists, giving priority to discovery and promotion of emerging talents and re-discovery of senior masters. The artists represented by the gallery predominantly have conceptual profiles, they work with the use of a large variety of media. Its program encourages dialogue on contemporary artistic positions, as well as cultural, social and political issues, which is facilitated by the international and generational diversity of the represented and invited artists. The gallery is active in supporting the development of the local art scene by taking a leading role in non-profit events. In 2018 a video by Péter Forgács received the MACBA Acquisition Award at LOOP Barcelona. In 2013 Ani Molnar Gallery was the first Eastern European gallery to receive the F.E.A.G.A. Award in Basel.
