Sara Ramo lives and works between Spain and Brazil, where she works directly with the elements that define immediate daily life in order to reconfigure them into strange and foreign presences. She graduated from the Universidad Federal de Minas de Gerais, Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Ramo has participated in main group exhibition at 9th Bienal do Mercosul; Sharjah Biennial 11; 32º Panorama da Arte Brasileira at MAM-São Paulo; the 29th São Paulo Biennial and the 54th Venice Biennale. Some of her recent exhibitions have been part of the programs of Galeria Fortes Vilaça, São Paulo; EAC Espacio de Arte Contemporáneo, Montevideo; Astrup Fearnley Museet, Oslo; Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil, São Paulo; CA2M, Centro Dos de Mayo, Madrid; and also in the Fundação Eva Klabin, Rio de Janeiro.
