Ferhat Özgür is a visual artist working with various media such as video, photography, painting or installation. His works are related to his subjective world, the social, political and cultural characteristics of Turkey and the period in which he lives. He graduated from Gazi University and completed his master′s and doctoral degree at Hacettepe University, where he was also assistant Professor. The artist took part in 10th Istanbul Biennale and 6th Berlin Biennale. He has had solo shows in venues such as the Michigan University Museum of Art, 2016; MoMA PS1-New York, 2013; or Gallery Bernhard Bischoff & Partner, Bern, 2014. His works have been exhibited in numerous institutions, including the Seoul Museum of Art; Moderna Musset Malmö; Centre George Pompidou; Salzburg Modern; MUMOK-Vienna; Istanbul Modern; and BWA Sokol Gallery of Contemporary Art.
