Marlborough Gallery was founded in London in 1946. In the late 60s, the New York headquarters was opened, followed by several locations around the world. The first gallery in Spain was opened in 1992, designed by architect Richard Gluckman. The venue opened with a solo show by Francis Bacon. The Barcelona gallery opened its doors in 2006 and, like the rest of the galleries, is focused on representing Spanish, Latin American, American and London School artists who work with different media such as painting, sculpture, ceramics, drawing, photography and video.
