The film reveals a lesser known outcome of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution, a safari initiated by the Hungarian state designed to complete the national collection of African trophies. The script weaves together fragments taken from 1959’s interviews to Hungarian refugees, held at the Colombia University (NY), an interview with the cameraman that filmed both the 1956 Hungarian Uprising and also the African safari, together with pieces of fiction extracted from Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein.
