‘FACES’ is an exhibition of 55 photographs taken by film director Isabel Coixet during the making of her films. Portraits of actors and actresses like Tim Roberts, Juliette Binoche, Rinko Kikuchi and writers such as Henning Mankell and John Berger, will be on view in the RocioSantaCruz gallery, situated on Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, 627, from 26th May to 11th June. The money raised from the exhibition will go to Proactiva Open Arms, an NGO giving humanitarian aid to the refugees in Lesbos. Òscar Camps, activist and director of the organization, received the award Catalan of the Year 2015. In parallel to the exhibition, there will be the chance to see a documentary called ‘Words, maps, secrets and other things’, by Elena Trapé, a 53 minute film that reveals the intimate world of Isabel Coixet, in addition to a selection of her short films.
