“Cariàtide”, performance by Elena Kovylina

On November 17, the Cultural Foundation “CdR in Barcelona” and Loop Barcelona festival will present a live performance by Elena Kovylina, known as the “Russian Marina Abramović,” a legendary Moscow artist and student of Rebecca Horn, the internationally renowned female performance art star of the 1970s-80s. This performance will open the exhibition Elena Kovylina. Selected Performances 1999-2024, which will be held at the “CdR in Barcelona” Cultural Foundation as part of the Loop video art festival, from November 17 to 29.

On November 17th at 7:00 p.m. in the White Hall of our Foundation, Elena will present the performance “Caryatid” along with her works in documentary video format. Many of her pieces, widely known in Russia and abroad, have been part of exhibitions and are included in public and private collections in Russia, Europe, and the United States.
