Simona Žemaitytė

Simona Žemaitytė (b. 1984) is a Lithuanian artist-filmmaker. Her work was previously awarded at 15th Tallinn Print Triennial and nominated at Sheffield DocFest in 2011. She exhibited internationally, including Oberhausen, 13th Kaunas Biennial; Centrala Birmingham, Kasa Gallery Istanbul; Galata Perform Istanbul; BAFTA, RichMix, London, CAC Lithuania; Malonioji, Kaire-Desine, Vartai in Vilnius; Riga Cinema Shorts; CreArte traveling exhibition in Pardubice, Linz, Genoa. She has a practice-based Ph.D. from Vilnius Academy of Arts and teaches there. Previously she taught documentary film at the Royal Holloway University of London and University College London (UCL).
