Penny Siopis

Penny Siopis lives in Cape Town where she is an Honorary Professor at Michaelis School of Fine Art. A visual artist who works across different mediums, Siopis made her first film in 1997 by combining fragments of her mother’s 8mm home-movies with text and sound to craft a deeply personal story of migration.
