Juergen Teller has successfully navigated both the art and fashion photography worlds since starting his career in the late 1980s. Driven by a desire to tell a story in every picture he takes, he has developed a distinctive, instantly recognizable style characterized by humor, self-mockery, and emotional honesty. Internationally renowned for his candid celebrity portraits, provocative fashion editorials, and iconic campaigns for various designers, Teller has also created significant bodies of personal work that explore themes of self, family, roots, and identity. Recent solo exhibitions include Metal Works at Ordet, Milan (2024); HOOK NO 10 at gta exhibitions, ETH Zurich (2023); Inner Child at Bergen Kunsthall, Bergen (2021); LIVE LIFE WELL at the Center for Contemporary Arts, Prague (2019); and An Artist’s Guide to Stop Being An Artist at SMK, Copenhagen (2019). His work has also been featured in numerous group exhibitions, such as the 59th Venice Biennale (2022), as part of The Milk of Dreams exhibition.
