Since 2023, CIFRA has been showcasing forward-thinking and aspiring artists from around the world. CIFRA supports media artists across diverse genres and regions through its annual award, offering recognition and opportunities via professional events and online open calls. The organization collaborates with media art curators and experts who serve as jurors to help identify the most exceptional works. The award celebrates excellence in media arts, provides financial backing for future projects, and gives winners a platform to showcase their work to a global audience. Recipients also benefit from extensive promotion across CIFRA’s social and media channels, including exclusive interviews on CIFRA TV.

In its inaugural edition, two winners were announced at the Barcelona Loop Fair: Fredj Moussa (Solar Noon, 2022) and Louis-Cyprien Rials (Babel, 2023).

In the summer, another award was held at Venice’s Art Night, where three winners were selected: Cheng Xinhao (To the Ocean, 2019), Alexander Glandien (The Institute, 2020), and Shuree Sarantuya (Curse of Staged Atavism, 2024).

CIFRA is returning to Spain this fall to discover an art treasure, expanding cinema by working with cross-reality instruments. The 3rd edition of the CIFRA award, with a panel of three jurors, will select the next artist to be honored at Loop Fair 2024.
