Albert Serra

Albert Serra is deemed to be one of the most outstanding young artists in contemporary film at the international level. His producer, Andergraun Films, is held to be one of the most relevant figures in independent European film production. In his works, be they films, installations, theatrical performances or acting, Serra repeatedly displays unique landscapes, and historical and literary characters, blending classicism and experimentation, as can be seen in Honor de cavalleria (2006), El cant dels ocells (2008), Història de la meva mort (2013), La mort de Lluís XIV (2016) or Liberté (2019). He represented Catalonia in the 56^th Venice Biennale with Singularity, curated by Chus Martínez.
