The video installation “AUTO PSi in São Paulo” emerged out of the urban intervention of 2003 at the SESC Iprianga of São Paulo/Brazil. During ten days passengers were transported at no cost from the cultural center to a destination of their choosing. In exchange for this free service, the travelers had to tell a story they invented after being shown images based on the Thematic Apperception Test (TAT), a psychological test. These narrations were broadcasted to a later time at the radio station Eldorado AM of São Paulo.
The passengers and the creation of their stories were filmed from the interior of the taxi while another car followed taping the entire event. The installation “AUTO PSi in São Paulo“ shows the simultaneous points of view on two screens.
