Virgile Fraisse lives and works in Paris. He studied at Otis College (Los Angeles) and is graduated from École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts with jury honours (Paris, MFA, 2014).
He was part of several collective exhibitions including Hors Pistes Traversées, Centre Pompidou (Paris); Karachi Biennale (Pakistan); Hotel Europa, Art Vilnius, Nivet-Carzon Gallery (Lithuania); Tarmac, Palais de Tokyo (France); LABOR ZERO LABOR, Triangle France (Marseille); 61e Salon de Montrouge (Montrouge); Instatata, Kunsthal Aarhus (Denmark); Mad#2/#3, Maison Rouge (Paris); Les Réalisateurs, Paradise Gallery (Nantes); Wicked Problem, Triangle France (Marseille); 8 plus ou moins 2, Mansart gallery (Paris); LOOP Festival Discovery Award (Barcelona, Madrid, Johannesburg, Istanbul, Malaga, Rubi, Athens); Les Voyageurs, Palais des Beaux-arts (Paris). His first solo show was held at Clark House Initiative (Mumbai, India).
He received the Video Prize from Beaux-arts Foundation as well of Mécènes du Sud, ADAGP and CNC-DICRéAM grants.
Performances were held at Palais des Beaux-arts (Paris) at Arnaud Deschin Gallery (Marseille) at Triangle France and Beffroi (Montrouge) and at Centre Pompidou (Paris).
Virgile Fraisse has been part of residency programs including Triangle France, Clark House, Les Réalisateurs & Cité Internationale des arts.
