Olga Chernysheva

Olga Chernysheva (b.1962, Moscow) studied in Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography in Moscow (specialization Animation) and then in the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam. Apart from animation, Chernycheva’s media include drawing, painting, photography, video and text. She has held solo shows at the State Russian Museum in Saint Petersburg or the Museum of Contemporary Art Antwerp. She also represented Russia at the Venice Biennale of 2001. Her works were, as well, displayed at the 56th Venice Biennale (2015), Manifesta 10 in Saint-Petersburg (2014), 1st Bergen Triennale, Bergen, Norway (2013).
