Violeta Mayoral

Violeta Mayoral (Almería, 1988) is an artist based in Barcelona. Her work is currently represented by the etHall gallery and she is an artist-in-residence at the Hangar.org Center for Production and Research. She studied Communication at the University of Barcelona with a mention in Semiotics at UNAM (DF, Mexico) thanks to the Banco Santander Ibero-America scholarship. She has shown her work at the Fundació Joan Miró, Museo Reina Sofía, at the Center for Contemporary Creation of Andalusia C3A, the Sala de Arte Joven in Madrid, at the Art Nou Barcelona festival, at etHall gallery and at art fairs such as contemporary SWAB and Arte Santander. She has also published on the platforms Lateral Addittion (Philadelphia), Atmos (Montevideo) and A’DESK (Barcelona) among others. She has taught at Casa Encendida (Madrid) and in the En Residència program (Barcelona).
