Isabel Rocamora (1968, Barcelona, Spain) is a British-Spanish artist filmmaker whose work considers the performative nature of human gesture and its relationship to individual and cultural identity. Awarded internationally, Rocamora’s moving image work can be seen in museums and filmothèques worldwide. Her films have been exhibited at the Centre for Contemporary Art Palazzo Strozzi, Florence; the National Museum of Photography, Copenhagen; the Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Museum of Modern Art Bologna. Her work has most recently been on display at Shaw Gallery at the Weber State University, Utah, US; The Kaviar Factory, Lofoten, Norway; Summerhall Galleries, Edinburgh, UK; and the Museo de la Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Rocamora lives and works between Barcelona and Edinburgh.
