Stefan Panhans is an artist predominantely working with video, photography, installation and text. His transdisciplinary artistic research undertakes a kind of mental archeology of contemporary hypermediatization and digitalization and its effects on our minds and bodies as well as its power relations. Furthermore it addres- ses phenomena such as increasing everyday racism, celebrity wor- ship, stereotypes and the precarization of working conditions, particularly in platform capitalism.In addition to her work on new materialism and post-digitality, Andrea Winkler works together with the artist Stefan Panhans on transdisciplinary, predominantly cinematic projects.
Andrea Winkler is an artist whose work focuses on new materialism and post-digitality. She frequently collaborates with fellow artist Stefan Panhans on transdisciplinary projects, primarily in the cinematic field. Winkler’s academic background includes a Master’s in Fine Art Media from the Slade School of Fine Art (UCL) in London (2000-2003) and a degree in Visual Communication from the Hochschule für bildende Künste Hamburg (1996-2000), where she studied under Wolfgang Tillmans and Gisela Bullacher. Winkler has received numerous awards and residencies throughout her career, such as the Kunstfond SoloProject grant from the Stiftung Kunstfonds Bonn (2024) and the Aargauer Kuratorium Visual Art Award (2023), a nomination for the MuVi Award at the 69th Internationale Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen (2023). In 2022, she was nominated for the prestigious Paula-Modersohn-Becker-Preis and received a scholarship from the Stiftung Kunstfonds in Bonn.
