einaidea, the platform created by Fundació Eina to promote research and production projects in the fields of art, design, and critical thinking, directed by writer and curator Manuel Cirauqui, will participate in the 22nd edition of the Loop Festival, under the theme “A Subtle Shake.” The festival, taking place from November 13 to January 5, will feature three proposals organized by einaidea.

At Museu de la Música, two works by the Ukrainian duo Roman Khimei and Yarema Malashchuk will be presented: Dedicated To The Youth Of The World II (2019) and Dedicated To The Youth Of The World III (2023). Both document the iconic Сxema rave in Kyiv, capturing key moments: in 2019, young people reclaim the city in a pre-war context following Russia’s annexation of Crimea, while in 2023, the rave is recreated as an act of survival in the midst of the ongoing war.

On November 16, in collaboration with Casa Seat, The Self-Driving Image, a work by American artist and filmmaker John Menick, will be screened, followed by a conversation with the artist, Manuel Cirauqui, and researcher Blanca Pujals.

Finally, on November 17, in collaboration with Hangar, a meeting will be held with the artistic collective Metahaven, who will present their work The Feeling Sonnets (Transitional Object) (2024), which will be part of Loop Fair too.

Loop Festival will take place from November 13 to 23, and its activities are free of charge. The festival will feature exhibitions, screenings, and performances at various cultural institutions in Barcelona, with the participation of local and international artists.
