Founded in 1991 in Geneva by Barbara Polla, Analix Forever is an independent art space, where images (still and moving), poetry, drawings, music and performance art freely bloom. It has been promoting video art through gallery and institutional exhibitions, series of talks and video shows entitled “Video Forever” that travelled the world, and its annual video award to first year students of Le Fresnoy (France). Women video artists are particularly celebrated, notably with the exhibitions ‘Moving Women’ and ‘Fucking Beautiful’, as well as animation films as they combine the gallery’s main focuses, moving images and drawings. Analix Forever believes that working with artists is a long-term commitment, and accompanies them over different life steps, sometimes over decades. Analix Forever believes in “acting utopias”: it acts, locally and internationally, on the ideals it defends. Since 2023, Analix Forever shares ideas and creative methods to elaborate peace experiments together with artists.
