Lawrence Lek

Lawrence Lek estudió en el Trinity College de la Universidad de Cambridge, la Architectural Association de Londres y The Cooper Union de Nueva York, y recientemente ha obtenido un doctorado en el Royal College of Art de Londres. Entre sus exposiciones individuales más recientes figuran: Nepenthe (Summer Palace Ruins), QUAD, Derby (2022); Post-Sinofuturism, ZiWU the Bund, Shanghai (2022). Entre sus exposiciones colectivas, bienales y festivales de cine más recientes figuran: 5ª Bienal de Kochi-Muziris, Kochi (2022); Leeum Museum of Art, Seúl (2022); Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, Sydney (2022); donaufestival, Krems (2021); IFFR International Film Festival Rotterdam (2020 y 2018); 17ª Bienal de Arquitectura de Venecia, Venecia (2021); Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco | de Young Legion of Honor, San Francisco (2020). Lek ha sido galardonado con el Jerwood/FVU Award 2017 y el Dazed Emerging Artist Award 2015. En 2021 recibió tanto el Gran Premio del 4º VH Award como la beca LACMA 2021 Art + Technology Lab.
