Dr Bibiana Crespo Martín (Barcelona, 1971)

Professor of Drawing at the Faculty of Fine Arts and Delegate of the Rector for International Networks and Mobility of the University of Barcelona

PhD in Fine Arts (2000) of the University of Barcelona and Professor of Drawing at the same institution since 1996.

She has been visitor lecturer at prestigious national and international universities such as the University of California-Berkeley, the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, the Universidad de Buenos Aires and the University of the West of England.  She is the Principal Investigator of the International Research Project “Artistic creation of today, heritage of tomorrow in Ibero-America: museums and archive, memory and identity”, and associate research member of the Groups SGR “Art, Poesia i Educació” and I+D+i “Poéticas liminales en el mundo contemporáneo: creación, formación y compromiso social”. With nearly a hundred publications in specialized journals and books, her main academic research lines are: the Book-Arts, Artists’ Books, Digital Artists’ Books, Art Practice as Research, Art-Archive, and Participatory Art Practices, among others topics related to the art impact into social engagement policies and the accomplishment of the Sustainable Development Goals of the Agenda 2030 of the United Nations.

As professional artist she has exhibited in solo and group shows, as well as she has participated in numerous artist residencies in Japan, Taiwan, China, Korea, India, Romania, Hungary, etc.
