Esteve Riambau, (Barcelona, 1955), is a historian, film critic and filmmaker, doctor in Communication Sciences and a graduate in Medicine and Surgery. He is the director of the Filmoteca de Catalunya and Professor of the Department of Audiovisual Communication and Publicitat of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, has published thirty books on History of Cinema and co-directed with Elisabet Cabeza the feature films La doble vida del fakir y Mascaras. Since April 2011, Esteve Riambau has also been Vice-President of FIAF, the International Federation of Film Archives, which brings together over 150 film archives and archives from around the world.
