The video shows gallerist Niru Ratnam riding a bicycle in a park wearing pyjamas. The audio element consists of a voice over of Ratnam reading a press release he had written for the work following the production of the visual element of the video. The press release was written with the full knowledge that it would become the voice over for the final edit.

Ryan Gander

Ryan Gander is an artist living and working in London. He studied at Manchester Metropolitan University, UK, the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten, Amsterdam, NL and the Jan van Eyck Akademie, Maastricht, NL. Recent projects include Locked Room Scenario, Commissioned by Artangel, London, UK; ILLUMInations at the 54th International Art Exhibition of the Venice Biennale; Intervals at Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, NYC, US; The Happy Prince, Public Art Fund, Doris C. Freedman Plaza, Central Park, NYC, US and Manifesta 8, Murica, SP.  Recent solo shows have been held at Jörg Johnen Galerie, Berlin, DE; Dazaifu Tenmangu, Fukuoka, JP; 1223 Gendaikaiga, Tokyo, JP; YU-UN Viewing Room, Tokyo, JP; Annet Gelink Gallery, Amsterdam, NL; Okinawa Prefectural Museum, Okinawa, JP, and Haus Konstruktiv, Zurich, CH.  A monograph by the artist, entitled Catalogue Raisonnable Vol: 1 has recently been co-published by JRP|Ringier and Thea Westreich/Ethan Wagner Publications.
